This week we met at an alternate location- Fishbones. John Hyman was kind enough to inform us that there were no cars at the church parking lot this morning! Tom Hartford did an excellent job as color guard as well. We also welcomed back Greg Hird who was reinstated to the club and heard the nomination of a new member Greg Hird II. Any guesses as to who the sponsor for the younger Hird is?

Andrew Harris from L/A Arts put on a lively show. He regaled us with a story of picking up some slug neutralizer for his wife's garden and then spoke about the arts in Lewiston Auburn. L/A Arts has shifted its primary focus to Arts education in the twin cities. They will continue to publicize the arts be will no longer be sponsoring concerts. Our club has supported L/A Arts education initiative for several years. Many children in L/A have been turned on to reading and the arts due to this program.

Next week, July 22, we are back to our normal home at the United Methodist Church where Dick Gleason will speak on "The Challenge of Being Informed".
