Todd A Finn
Superintendent of Lewiston Schools

Mr. Todd Finn serves the City of Lewiston’s School Department as the Superintendent for Lewiston Public Schools. He was selected as part of a national search in the February if 2019. 

 

A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Finn has been a long-time administrator for both middle schools and high schools in North Carolina, Georgia, and Vermont. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Secondary Education from Fitchburg State University, and a Master of School Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Mr. Finn has completed all requirements for his Doctoral in Education Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and will defend his dissertation on Leadership as it relates to core self evaluation and organizational citizenship behavior in teachers in the fall of 2020. 

 

He is a decorated combat veteran of the United States Army Airborne Infantry and served with a Special Operations Unit, The Long Range Surveillance Detachment of the 101st Military Intelligence Battalion in Central America and the Middle East. 

 

A former men’s college basketball coach at Johnson & Wales University (Providence), he is a  championship winning coach at the high school and collegiate levels. 

 

He is excited to have successfully executed his entry and transition plan during “year one“, while beginning to  lead Lewiston Public Schools through a three year period he refers to as “3D: Data, Design, and Do”. In his second year, the new District  Strategic Plan, collaboratively designed with the School Committee, will guide Lewiston  into a new era with specific goals and objectives named and addressed for the long term success of Lewiston Public Schools. 

 

Mr. Finn is married to his wife, Daniella Finn, and they reside in Lewiston. An avid sports and theatre fan, a Beatles and John Mayer enthusiast, and collector of vinyl records, Mr. Finn and his wife enjoy outdoor excursions and mountain biking on the trails and mountains of Maine.
